Deon Barksdale, Jr. is an award-winning performer born and raised in the heart of Tampa Bay, Florida. He began his formal training at Howard W. Blake High School of the Performing Arts, where he developed a strong foundation in performance before continuing his studies at the University of South Florida. Deon later transferred to Florida A&M University, where he earned his degree in Theatre Performance and continued to refine his craft.

Over the course of his career, Deon has portrayed more than 30 characters across a range of performance mediums, including live theatre, voiceover work, commercials, short films, and feature films. He is drawn to stories that truly have something to say and finds purpose in bringing honest, human experiences to life on stage and on screen.

Most recently, Deon appeared in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical at the Palace Theatre in New Hampshire. He remains committed to pursuing bold, meaningful work and continues to grow as an artist with no plans of slowing down.
